(EDU 130) provides an introduction to young adolescence and middle level education. This course examines the societal context of middle level education and explores the academic and student support structures of meeting the academic and affective needs of young adolescent children. Learning styles, multiple intelligences theory, gender differences, and wellness issues serve critical areas to take into account of in designing a middle school curriculum.
